PCS is looking to hire a research officer, business outreach officer and business coach/trainer for its project: “
Economic Recovery in the Jenin District ”. The project seeks to contribute to economic recovery and Socio-Economicempowerment of youth, women, and marginalized segments in the Jenin District. Thefollowing is a description for the required qualifications and tasks

Responsibility and tasks
Provide continuous market research and studies based on immediate needs identified by the Business Incubator Manager
Provide direct technical assistance to entrepreneurs and SMEs in the research and development of business plans marketing
plans, loan proposals and related business development requirements
Evaluate business proposal together with incubation team and committee to assess viability of proposals
Administers and monitors specific training components as assigned, to include budget planning and expenditure management
Professional Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to develop basic business plans, marketing plans, financial strategies, and business loan proposals
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications
Knowledge of the characteristics and prerequisites of a successful business plan
Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of small business operations
Knowledge of basic business accounting
Excellent in English: reading, writing and speaking
Experience in market research

Responsibility and tasks
Strengthen links with NGOs, donors, local community and government, with a focus on building new relationships with loans institutions, financial institutions and banks
Networking with existing businesses and private sector
Devise and organize attractive training and campaign events for beneficiaries and partners
Coordinate and/or participate in efforts to build relationships with area businesses to establish and develop contract training opportunities
Working with our Media and Communications Officer, implement communication plans with local community, partners, and
ensure a regular stream of engaging e-mails and other ways
Prepare periodical reports, success stories, case studies, and other relevant media reports
Engage and reach out to media outlets ensuring high visibility to the project
Identify and speaking and profile-raising opportunities for beneficiaries
Keep well informed on the priorities and any key developments amongst beneficiaries
Manage our beneficiaries database from project
Develop and implement a supporter development strategy for project
mobilizing resources for the incubator, including fundraising efforts, bidding for tenders, and packing fee-based services provided by the incubator
Professional Qualifications
Demonstrable understanding of NGO development with at least 3 years of experience in a comparable role
Experience of interaction or work with NGOs/ private sector / Donors / Government
Good track record of establishing and developing relationships with key people in external stakeholder organizations
Experience of event organization: Training, workshops, meeting
Campaigning experience, it means advocacy and lobbying campaigns with local society including developing campaign actions for individual activists
Experience of preparing reports News and press release
Ability to inspire, motivate and lead, particularly people who are different from you
Proven influencing skills with internal and external actors
Strong written and spoken communication skills. Strong planning, co-ordination and prioritization skills and proven capacity to undertake varied tasks simultaneously to tight deadlines
Knowledge of responsible SMEs, economic empowerment, human rights and/or development. Excellent in English: reading, writing and speaking

Responsibility and tasks
Conduct participant training needs assessments, pre-post evaluations, preparing training curriculum
Carry out the training programs of the business incubator
Ensure current labor market studies and entrepreneurship practices are incorporated in the planning and delivery of the training
Provide follow up and coaching to successful entrepreneurs and SMEs
Work with start-up businesses and SMEs to help them take their business to the next level of development
Handle the learning and professional development for incubator participants
Keeping up to date with developments in entrepreneurial and small-business training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
Professional Qualifications
Current technical skills and knowledge relevant to entrepreneurship and business start up
Experience working with small business owners or starting a small business
At least 3 years of entrepreneurial or training experience
Demonstrated quick thinking/problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated good judgment and situational perception skills
Demonstrated ability to facilitate and encourage learning to diverse groups using diverse methods
Well-developed presentation and communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and basic computer functions High financial literacy
Excellent in English: reading, writing and speaking
